Camp Style Mood Board

I’ve been stuck in decorating limbo these past couple months. I moved out of my apartment in New Jersey and into my parent’s house while I house hunt. With no space of my own to decorate, I’ve been daydreaming about how I’ll style my future home. And today’s inspiration is a camp style.

“Camp style” is probably not a real decorating style. It’s just the term I use to describe an aesthetic that feels cozy, outdoorsy, colorful, and fun. If you have a better idea for what to call this style, please tell me! Otherwise, we’re sticking with camp style. The inspiration for this mood board comes from a lot of time spent in Wisconsin. I’ve always loved the cabins, dive bars, and unique shops of the Northwoods.

Someone buy me that orange fireplace pretty please!! MAJOR heart eyes. At least one room in my future house is going to be decorated in this style. If not the living room, then definitely the office or basement (if the house has one!!). It’s a really great style for people who have a lot of nostalgic items or memorabilia because nothing has to “match” to look good together. Not the best style for those who prefer clean lines and muted colors. Would you decorate your house in a camp style? You can check out other décor inspiration here.
