Decorating your Living Room for Fall
Living in an apartment where extra space is either non-existent or extremely valuable, I have had to get creative with holiday displays. Today I’m going to offer ideas on decorating your living room for Fall, especially if your space is small.
I’ve been accumulating Fall and Halloween decor for a few years now even though my apartments haven’t gotten any bigger. Just another reason to buy a house soon, right?! To make room for Fall things, I have started to put away my everyday decor. Think picture frames, throw pillows, plants, etc. My living room had a blue and red thing going on for summer. For Fall, I switched out pillow covers for this and this from H&M. They have tons of throw pillow covers at very affordable prices.
I actually really love the green and orange color scheme and might leave them out past the Fall season. What do you think?! We can’t forget about the Hocus Pocus pillows! I got these at Kohls a few years ago and unfortunately they are no longer available. However, pretty much every store has Halloween pillows right now. You have lots of options!
The other little changes I made were to my side table and record console. They each got a couple pumpkins and Fall scented candles. The glass candy jar and pumpkin tea lights came from A.C. Moore. The jar was only $5.99 and the tea lights were 2 for $5. So cute, so cheap! The skull was a Dollar Store find that I painted silver. I didn’t have a good place to put the Happy Halloween sign, so I ended up taking down a picture to make room for it. I’ll put the picture back up after the season is over!
Lastly, I used the empty space next to my TV stand to make a little display with this sign. Check out that post to see how to make your own sign! The bats and broom are from Michaels, but I just googled them quick and it looks like you can also get them at Party City and Walmart. I want to watch all the Halloween movies now that my TV area is looking extra cute!
Adding a touch of Fall is always a good idea, no matter how much room you have. I hope you have fun decorating your living room for Fall and Halloween!
