Future Home Vision Board

If all goes to plan, I will be buying a house before the end of this year. Because of this plan, I haven’t been doing many projects around my current apartment and don’t have much new content to post on this blog. What I do have is TONS of ideas for a new house! So I present to you my future home vision board thanks entirely to Pinterest, of course!

Kitchen

The kitchen comes first because this is the room I daydream about most. After 8 years of rental kitchens, I cannot wait to have a nice kitchen.

I LOVE this kitchen. The combination of navy blue with natural wood and white is just beautiful. I haven’t decided if I want color for kitchen cabinets, but navy would be at the top of the list if I did go this route.

BRB I’m moving in here. The greeeeeen cabinets, that penny tile floor, the massive windows? I’ll have it all, thanks. I know I want penny tile in the bathroom, but this kitchen may have convinced me to put it in the kitchen as well.

If you’re not following Patti Wagner on instagram, you need to be. Go do that now. Followed? Okay good. All of her home designs with her husband are stunning. I’m particularly in love with the floor and beams in this kitchen. I know I just said maybe I’ll do penny tile, but this is such a good option too! I just need two kitchens. There, solved it.

My Chicago apartment had these latches on the cabinets and now I am obsessed with them. Very vintagey. They are also expensive, so I may have to pick and choose certain cabinets to put them on. It’s hard to find backsplash ideas that aren’t subway tile right now. Maybe I’ll make a post about backsplash options that aren’t subway tile! Would anyone want to see that?!

Living Room

The living room from Something’s Gotta Give is perfection. So cozy! I’m well aware that my living room will look nothing like this, but a girl can dream! If I get bookshelves and a fireplace I’ll be more than happy.

I’ve always had a thing for built-ins around a fireplace with windows above. My aunt and uncle have this in their house and it’s so classy.

This living room featured on Home Town looks so comfy. I love the fireplace of course. And the floor to ceiling windows with flowy white curtains are also dreamy.

Master Bedroom

These colors are just soooo lovely. Definitely “my colors.” The overall style isn’t exactly me but I definitely want some orange and green in my home. Which is a surprise to no one!

This room is very white but I’m a big fan of the blinds and fun light fixture.

This look is very classic and simple. I like the mini dresser used as a side table and the very thick crown molding. These three bedrooms are all quite different, but I guess that means I’m open-minded?! The only guarantee is that there will be LOTS of throw pillows.

Bathroom

I love the inlaid medicine cabinet and overall Craftsman feel of this bathroom. Told you I wanted penny tile didn’t I?

The herringbone floors and green tiles are the reason I pinned this bathroom. They are so unique and pretty! I also like that there isn’t a tub because I never take baths. I know baths have good resale value, but if we have two bathrooms, one will definitely only have a big shower.
