Fall 2020 Inspiration
To put it lightly, 2020 has been a rough year. But I have decided that 2020 is NOT allowed to ruin my Fall spirit – or yours! So today I have some Fall 2020 inspiration to get everyone psyched up for the best time of year! These are images of home decor, costumes, movies, food, etc. that will give you that Autumnal feeling. It may only be August, but it’s never to early to think about Fall!
The great thing about Fall is that so many of the associated activities can still happen in a socially distanced fashion! Think decorating your home, making crafts, baking pumpkin bread, bonfires, scary movies, leaf peeping, cooking chili, and picking pumpkins. Rather than thinking about the things we cannot do, let’s take time to appreciate everything we do have this season.
Make
This felt leaf wreath is a fun DIY project for a Fall afternoon. It uses limited materials and the total cost is about $10. Plus it looks good on your door or wall from September-November! Click here to find out how to make your own wreath.
Cook
Fall flavors are some of the best and this year is the perfect time to experiment in the kitchen! Pinterest is loaded with delicious Fall recipes ranging from in season produce salads to that puppy chow mixture above. I personally can’t WAIT to make my vegetarian chili! I like to make it on a Sunday and eat it while watching a Fall movie. Coziness overload!!!
Watch
If music and movies get you in Fall mode, I have some lists for you to check out! My movie suggestions are above and you can find my Halloween playlist here. Did I miss any? Let me know your favorites! It might be a bit early to decorate the house, but I was just in Homegoods the other day and there were hints of Fall decor happening. And plennnnty of Fall scented candles! I had to try really hard to contain my excitement! Target and Home Depot just debuted their Halloween collections and I can only assume other stores will follow suit. Soon, my pretties!!
What is your Fall 2020 inspiration? Whatever it is, I highly suggest leaning in to the things that make you feel good this year. Light some candles, pour yourself a pumpkin beer, and savor everything this season has to offer. 2020 took many things from us, but it doesn’t have to take the things that make Fall so special.

Several of those movies are my go to in the autumn [Hocus Pocus, Practical Magic, Harry Potter, Practical Magic, Sleepy Hollow]. Have you seen Blood & Chocolate?
