Light Blue Bedroom Inspiration
Now that we are almost finished with our en suite bathroom, I have started looking at some light blue bedroom inspiration. This project will seem like a piece of cake compared to completely gutting and renovating a bathroom. All our bedroom really needs is a coat of paint and some fresh decor. It is currently being used as a storage space for all the tools and materials needed for the bathroom reno, and I am so excited to get our bedroom back! Let me know what you think of the light blue bedroom inspiration photos below!
As I was pinning photos for this room, it became clear that I was attracted to a certain color palette. The photos are all leaning towards blue and green rooms, which is not surprising! Green is my favorite color and blue is a classic color for a bedroom. My mom just refinished her whole first floor in a beautiful white, blue, and navy motif, which I love. And I have always liked the breezy blue and white Serena and Lily rooms, but our house is not coastal or beachy. So my goal with this room is to use those colors in a way that fits the style of our house.
Light Blue Bedroom Inspiration
I really love the warm colors mixed with light blue here. Our bedroom is currently painted a dull blue-grey and I worry that painting it light blue won’t make an impact. But this room is proof that the right shade of blue and accessories can change a room from cold to cozy.
The grass cloth wallpaper trend is very enticing to me. I don’t think Colin will ever get on board with it, but how gorgeous is this room?! It’s simple, yet the mixed textiles make it feel so rich.
Les Touches! Chartreuse! I adore this pattern, but it may have to be in the form of a pillow. There will definitely be some mustard or terracotta accents in our bedroom. They mix so well with blues and greens.
While this bedroom is a little too English granny for my taste, that color blue is exactly what I’m going for when I say “light blue”. I’ve looked at SO many light blue rooms and it seems that Farrow and Ball’s Parma Gray is the color I lean toward. I’ll be testing it to make sure it works in our room. It certainly looks perfect online. My biggest worry is that I will choose a baby blue that looks like it belongs in a nursery. Ew.
As you can see, I really dig beautiful florals, mixed textiles, and texture. It will be fun to create our own space based on this light blue bedroom inspiration post! We have a few design issues to address, such as corner windows that offset the balance of the room. But otherwise, the bedroom gets nice light, is a decent size (for a house built in 1957), and already has nice hardwood floors to work with. Our plan is to slowly work on this room, so be sure to check back for progress posts. Have a great week, friends!
