Main Bedroom Mood Board
Before we get into today’s post, I wanted to thank you all for the overwhelming response to our bathroom reveal. I am so grateful for every comment, like, share, etc. and you all really blew me away! Thank you, thank you. We’re back to the bedroom now with a main bedroom mood board. Blame on being a 90’s kid who grew up cutting out pictures from magazines, but I LOVE making mood boards. It really helps visualize the room. In case you missed it, I shared some inspiration for the room here, but today I’m going to attempt to put it all together!
This bedroom has some quirks. There are two doors – one for the bathroom and one for the room entrance, as well as double closet doors. So wall space is sparse. We also have a high corner window that I don’t know how to work with. Back in the day, people had mini curtains that were the exact length of the window, but I’m not really into that. I want the room to have some 1950’s/1960’s flair, however, half curtains are too much. So if anyone has any ideas for window treatments, let me know! It would be greatly appreciated 🙂 Below is a picture from the real estate listing.

This main bedroom mood board is serving more as an idea than an actual shopping list. Because that rug alone is about $900. HAHA. Nope. But it sure is beautiful. My plan is to stick with this color palette and buy things in my budget. I’ve been cruising Facebook marketplace for dressers and nightstands. Colin wants to make the headboard (of course). This project doesn’t have a deadline, so maybe we will finish it in the Fall?! If you have any suggestions for this room, feel free to leave them in the comments. Have a great week!
