Mid Century Vanity Lights
In case you haven’t heard, we are pivoting our home plans and putting off the kitchen until next year. We have decided to remodel our guest bathroom this year instead. I thought I had plenty of time to make decisions about the bathroom, but now I’m scrambling! The guest bathroom does not get any natural light, so lighting is massively important for this room. Today I thought I would share some great mid century vanity lights that I’ve come across in my google searches. I hope these will be helpful links for anyone thinking about remodeling a mid century bathroom.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – we are respecting the style and age of our home, but we are not preservationists. A preservationist may save the current vanity light and repurpose it for a new bathroom. While it is a fine light, I would prefer something brighter and more stylistic. We will be putting an overhead light in the bathroom because the shower feels like a dark hole, but I am more concerned with finding a vanity light that flatters you as you look in the mirror. The current light isn’t it! All the lights listed below are “mid century style,” but not exactly perfect replicas. Just something to keep in mind as you scroll through 🙂

Whether you have a house built in the 1940’s to 1960’s or you just really love the design style, these mid century vanity lights should give you some great options! I’m personally leaning toward number 5 and number 10. Our space isn’t very big, so we will have to play with the mirror size to maximize lighting options!
