Fall ORC Week 3

Guess what? We didn’t accomplish anything One Room Challenge related last week. A combination of exhaustion from too many plans and waiting on materials caused serious burnout. Luckily, both Colin and I are feeling more motivated and we have ZERO plans this weekend for the first time in 2 months. I’M SO EXCITED! We will have all the time for DIYs and getting this bedroom together! I had planned content for this Fall ORC week 3 post, but we are pivoting due to lack of progress. I hope you’ll come back next week when I will have lots to share!

Today I’m going to highlight some amazing accounts that have been introduced to me through the One Room Challenge. Be sure to go give them a follow on Instagram and read about their room makeovers. The heart of the ORC is “community over competition,” and while some people have successfully grown their accounts by participating in these events, I have had more luck with connecting. The lovely algorithm NEVER would have shown me these awesome people with beautiful homes. Instagram definitely prefers stark white homes with a farmhouse vibe. So I am very grateful to have the following accounts to spark inspiration!

Studio Plumb

Rebecca’s mid century home is an absolute dream! I drooled over her last two One Room Challenge designs and this one looks like a winner too. Follow if you love mid century design and gorgeous colorful interiors.

Life in a Fixer

Annie’s bathroom is going to be soooo classy. She posts very satisfying time-lapse videos of her tiling process that make it seem like a breeze (even though we all know tiling is a giant pain in the bum). Follow if you appreciate realistic renovations of a historic bungalow home.

Ms Vicious Design

Jenasie’s designs are stunning, this bathroom included! She is a master at layering textures and playing with color. I can’t wait to see how her entryway turns out. Follow if you love rich colors and ornate design features.

Mel Makes a Mess

I must have a soft spot for people who renovate very sad looking bathrooms and that is exactly what Mel is doing this round! I love her timeless design plan for this bathroom. Follow if you enjoy watching old home renovations done with great taste!

Blue Agate Abode

Miranda’s home is SO happy. She uses tons of color in her designs, but especially blues! She is making over her home’s exterior this round and it is already looking great. Follow if you want helpful DIY advice and inspiration for making a beautiful home.

Jen Selk

Jen runs a vintage shop and fills her home with tons of fantastic finds. Seriously, you have to look closely at her photos so you don’t miss all the cool details! She is working on her bathroom this round. Follow if you like a dash of sarcasm and humor with your vintage design talk.

Sorry I don’t have an update on our room this week. Next week should be loaded with things to share. Be sure to follow along with all the Fall ORC week 3 progress on the One Room Challenge blog. It is filled with designs for every preference and room! See ya next week!

Oh my goodness girl!! Thank you so much for including me in this! I’m so glad you like the design. I think week 3 is a good time for a break. Regroup and wait for the supplies to get here.
